Flea Market: Giving Old Items a New Life

On December 12, 2024, Dingfan Elementary School held a flea market to promote sustainable living and support the United Nations’ SDG Goal 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production).

This event encouraged students to appreciate what they have, reduce waste, and find new value in second-hand items. By exchanging books, toys, and stationery, students learned the importance of reusing resources and making environmentally friendly choices.

Through this flea market, the school aimed to build a caring and responsible community, showing that small actions can help protect our planet.

Dingfan Elementary School Students Explore Digital Learning and Comics

On November 29, 2024, students from Dingfan Elementary School participated in a field trip sponsored by the Changhua Chenggong Lions Club. They visited the National Library of Public Information and the National Comics Museum in Taichung.

At the library’s Digital Art Center, students interacted with picture books and digital devices, making learning more engaging and fun.

This experience allowed students to discover the world of books, technology, and comics, inspiring their creativity and love for reading!

Dingfan Elementary Performs at Wind Farm Ceremony

On September 4, 2024, Dingfan Elementary School traveled from Changhua to perform at the Zhong Neng Offshore Wind Farm completion ceremony.

The 31 wind turbines are now installed and will start providing electricity by the end of 2024. This is an important step for Taiwan’s wind energy.

Led by Principal Chen, Director Su, PTA Chairman Lai, and Teacher Xie, 30 students from the Chinese orchestra performed a special piece, "Taiwan Recollections." Even graduated students returned to practice and perform together!

Their music celebrated Taiwan’s beauty and progress. The audience gave a big round of applause for this wonderful performance! (Luke)
